Education and training
Counselling and training courses for persons with diabetes are held around the year in Tampere and on several other cities in Finland.
The courses are attended by people with diabetes, their family members and health care professionals.
Education and further training are also organized for health care professionals. Several seminars and basic and advanced courses are held each year. Tailor-made education and counselling are also offered for health care professionals.
The staff responsible for courses, training and education includes two physicians, three nurses, nutritionist, one psychologist, a chiropodist, a physical activities instructor, an exercise planner, one course secretary, an education manager and an education secretary.
